Start from the kit, not the empty case

List every item that travels together, including cables, adapters, consumables and documents. Group them by the job step in which they are used rather than by shape alone. The resulting kit map lets a supplier design compartments around a real work order instead of filling an arbitrary box outline.

Mark items that may touch, items that can contaminate one another and items that must be counted individually. Use photographs and stable part names; the verified product page identifies a PE case with compartments, but it does not prove the contents, quantities or fit required by your operation.

Design for retrieval and replenishment

Ask operators to remove and return the kit while wearing the gloves or protective equipment used on site. Observe which part is hidden, which cavity invites the wrong item and which divider blocks a natural hand path. Retrieval order can matter more than maximum packing density.

Define a visual empty-position check and a location for damaged or quarantined parts. If consumables are replenished between shifts, reserve a clear restocking route so a full inspection does not require unloading the entire case.

Approve with a packing trial

Give bidders the same kit manifest, photographs, transport orientation and handling sequence. Request a labelled compartment drawing and a list of buyer assumptions. This makes offers comparable without inventing material grades, environmental ratings or load claims that are absent from the evidence registry.

At acceptance, pack the complete kit, close the case, move it through the intended handoff and perform a count after reopening. Record any swapped cavity, loose item or inaccessible part as a drawing revision before volume production.
